2018 FUNDRAISING REPORT

Dinner and Dance

In January, Holy Trinity hosted a Dinner and Dance, co-ordinated by Helen and John Davison. Avid dancers, the Davisons knew all the right moves to set up this lovely and fun night. Featuring well-loved local band, the Silverstars, the night included Dinner, a Beer and Wine Bar, a 50/50 draw, and door prizes. Everyone one who attended raved about the wonderful time they had. As well as providing a memorable evening, this event raised $630 for Holy Trinity’s coffers!

Royal Wedding Celebration
On 19th May 2018 on the occasion of the marriage of Prince Harry and Meaghan Markle a celebration was held In Griffiths Hall. The crowds arrived, the tables filled afternoon tea was enjoyed while eyes were fixed on the large screen as guests arrived at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle. Oh my, the hats, the glamour, quite smashing! Watching the event on a large screen was exciting and this was facilitated by Patrick Finch to whom we are most
grateful for his participation and technical expertise. Much planning and many willing helping hands made this event a huge success. A good time was had by all.

Christmas Bazaar
The annual Christmas bazaar was held on 8th December. The enthusiasm, the willingness, the hard work of many resulted in a hugely successful event. The hall was prepared on Thursday.
The potato preparation team of gentlemen worked on Friday as did the quiche team while tables were set and stalls were prepared for selling of goods, yes lots of work but much fun too. As always the crowds came, another successful bazaar enjoyed by all and funds raised for our beloved church. A big ‘thank you’ to Jann Cullen for her help and sage advice. We loved having her in our midst once again. Much appreciation and gratitude to Mary Ponsford who coordinated these two events and worked to ensure their success with good times for all.
