We cut the cake “intergenerationally” with our youngest parishioner (Max O’ Reilly – 1 year) and the parishioner who has been coming here the longest (Guy Weston – since 1936) joining Bishop Michael.
It was good to meet together as one congregation (there was no 8 a.m. Eucharist) as we welcomed our Bishop, Michael Ingham, to inaugurate the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the beginning of our parish. Lunch was provided by the Food Services section of the Semiahmoo House Society, a community resource for developmentally challenged adults. This society is one of our “parish partnerships” and we are delighted that its Executive Director, Paul Wheeler, is a member of our congregation.
This year is the 90th anniversary of the beginning of our parish, and we marked the occasion with a month-long celebration throughout October. The theme being “What Holy Trinity Means to Me” giving special thanks for each and every part of our ministry here.
